Peanut Butter and Banana Power Smoothie
ChocoNanaNutter is a smoothie recipe my son has been starting his weekday with since he was about four years old (he turns fourteen next month, how did that happen???) It came about because I was a mean mom and refused to purchase commercially produced, brightly colored, sugary cereals, waffles, pancakes, or anything processed for that matter. This protein shake was a quick, healthy, way to get some protein and carbs in his belly before heading off to school. And it stuck. Sure we mix it up here and there swapping out vanilla for chocolate, strawberries in place of banana, adding various sources of plant based protein. I’d sneak in tofu (He always knew!). My all-time favorite peanut butter to use is the Teddie Smooth Old Fashioned All Natural Peanut Butter. Its a healthy snack option as well.
